INTRODUCTION
Internationally, a Procurement Manager can earn an average salary of US $59,849 per annum. Additionally, 30% of an organization’s overall spend is expended on supply chain cost with any savings in procurement going directly to the company’s profit position. Significantly, the global procurement market was expected to grow from USD 5.4 billion in 2019 to USD 7.8 billion by 2024.
With the Pandemic’s effects coupled with bleak economic outlook, businesses are turning to procurement professionals to deliver growth and improved margins. As such Procurement is rapidly being recognized as a major contributor to any company’s growth with chief procurement officers becoming increasingly important members of many boardrooms.
Procurement Professionals and Organisations most urgent and critical challenges is and remains adapting to the digital challenges of today.
