Learning Outcomes
Students will learn the following in this Diploma in Facilities Management:
- Learn the process of Facilities Management of commercial and industrial buildings. Students will be exposed to a logical progression and development of knowledge from basic introductory material to more advanced concepts relating to the technology involved in Facilities Management.
- Understand the principles of Facilities Management, covering management of assets and principles of sustainability.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of contemporary and rationalized traditional Facilities Management and its application.
- Acquire the basic Facilities Management jargon for an understanding of other applied subjects, e.g., estimating, construction planning, and integration of services.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of contemporary and rationalized traditional Facilities Management and its application to medium span, low-rise commercial and industrial buildings.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the main materials and structural systems used in buildings, relative to Facilities Management.

Direct Entry Criteria
Students MUST possess at least ONE of the following:
- Certificate in a related discipline from an accredited institution – OR
- SHEL’s Built Environment Certificate
- 2 CAPE / GCE A’Level Subjects
Mature Entry Criteria
In order to be considered for Mature Entry, Students MUST possess:
- 3 Years Experience in a Facility Management Environment
- Be over the age of 21
